I'm the artist and founder behind Josie Girl Studio, named after my sweet Schnoodle, Josie.

As a proud Nicaraguan-American, I've always been inspired by color, culture, tradition, and the stories that connect us. When I first fell in love with needlepoint, my husband and I searched for canvases that celebrated our Hispanic heritage—but we struggled to find designs that truly felt like us.

So, I picked up a paintbrush and created my own.

That first canvas became Josie Girl Studio.

Today, I create joyful, culturally inspired designs rooted in memories, traditions, everyday moments, and a little bit of whimsy. My hope is to bring more representation to the needlepoint world while creating pieces you'll love stitching and keeping for years to come.
